What must I do

i dont get how the jailbreak for the apple TV works does it mean that you can watch any movie or tv show for free????????????

When I try to ssh into the Apple TV for the first time I get a tie refused error. I’ve tried on Ethernet and Wifi but no luck. Thoughts?

does anyone know how to get the aptv2g xbmc to see you store for videos?i can’t stream no matter what thing from my Mac, since the aptv xbmc doesnt see it/
any help would be momentously valued

@MrLdotwilliams i got it effective. thankfulness. quick inquiry. how do you stream files from a mac? i can’t find a tutorial for this anywhere. I can use xbmc just fine on my mac, it sees my hdd and folders, but on the apt2g it doesnt see my folders or MY hdd. Any suggestions?

i figured it out, now all i need to know is if the aptv must be plugged it as soon as i run terminal.
also it froze on me,after it questions for the root. i place in alpine, did i miss a step?

@MrLdotwilliams ok I’ve never seen this issue first hand but from forums it looks like the authenticity of host xx…etc… it looks like it gives you an selection after it to say yes or no, Type yes, it must add the fingerprint for your notebook. you can also try removing the finger print here’s a link for my video. It’s super simple (it won’t let me copy paste links in here but its a video on how to fix diffident host error
then retry that. 2) you don’t need the aTV plugged into the mac.

@LetsKeepItSimple4 also when you use the terminal, i was wondering if you have to have the apt plugged into your mac at all? I did the jb and i thought that reset it, if i reset i have to secure boot again, which is a pain, and i did not see that in the directions. also what did you mean by i accessed the ip take up all owing to some point. When i used seasonpass it did everything, was i infer to messwithip

@MrLdotwilliams Hmm I am baffled about your IP take up issue, have you tried restarting everything, rebooting your aTV and notebook now and again they need to refresh for me. If you have it jailbroken you must have been able to door the IP take up in one point so that makes me judge you need to reboot and refresh the interaction. Let me know how it goes

I cant get the terminal to allow me to place in my ip take up, i reckon since its dhcp, its not the habitual ip take up numbers. also does the apple tv 2g have to be pulled into the notebook. I am baffled, been looking around all day. I need fussy directions. I have it jailbroken, but i can’t get the ip take up to work in terminal. Looked all over google. Lost and frustrated. Excellent video even if.

@LetsKeepItSimple4 Yeah u can use PuTTY its same as Terminal, its best scale u can do

@mrmybuttisbig yes you need to use winscp to ssh into your ATV
